You can start your journey to view the iconic from the carpark for a 2.6km, 1 hour return trip. Or make a day of it and start your hike from the township and take the Te Weheka Walkway!
The Te Weheka Walkway is an 8.4km, 2 hour 20 minute return track. To complete your walk to the glacier will be a 3 hour 20 minute return trip.
When you arrive to the viewpoint, you’ll be 500m away from the face of the glacier.
